RC’s Tools of the Trade

I’ve been coaching full time since 2005 and have a developed a nice set of practices, products and technology plays that have made my coaching way more efficient. Here’s everything we use on a daily basis. They are all affiliate links and we appreciate it!

Starting your day

I start my day with Coffee for Wellness with Lairds, and extra collagen protein. The protein for me helps me maintain good blood sugar levels for most of the day. I go with 12 oz with breakfast and 12 oz to replace lunch. I eat trail mix and mostly almonds through out the day. Once in a while I mix in a Laird’s Protein Bar.

Coffee For Wellness (Coffee and the powder!)

Laird’s Creamers (I go with low sugar)

Bulletproof Collagen (melts the best in coffee at 54 grams per day (6 scoops)

Altra Trail and Puma Trail Shoes

Got to get to work with the right shoe…I’ve found that trail shoes provide my unique feet a good mix of comfort while coaching, and the ability to jump on the course real quick without changing shoes. If I have time, or it’s a little rainy and wet…go to go with Ignites.

Barefoot Science

These insoles are the game changer for me. I have a Morton’s neuroma on my right foot so strengthening my arches while creating more flexibility in my ankles solved my foot pain. This weekly regimen was tough in at first, but man was it worth it and they go in each shoe for the day. I try to rotate 7 different shoes per week to have one different shoe per day to maintain longevity.

During the day: On The Go Almonds and Bars

Nothing slow me down like lunch so I’m always grabbing almonds, or a Laird’s protein bar. Sitting down is a non-starter for me. These options also help me maintain consistent blood sugar. I go with natural almonds and sometimes a flavor.

Golf Practice

My “go-to’s” are a WellPutt putting mirror and the Force Pedal. The mirror is a most for 5 minutes a day to maintain correct posture and alignment. The Force Pedal helps keep my right hip when under my right shoe, rotating properly from start to finish.

It’s also great to have a custom WellPutt Stroke template.

My Clubs

I’m a Cobra Puma Golf Ambassador! The DS Adapt X Driver and King Tour Irons are a great fit for me.

My Ball

I play the new Bridgestone XS ball! It’s been a great fit for my game. The new Cobra gear didn’t create enough spin on my prior gamer so I moved into the high spinning XS ball. It Definitely feels great and flys great down wind. Take a little extra club into the wind because the high spin really works for that shot stopping control.

My Whoop

There’s really one option for our athletes and me. Whoop.

Our on course Data and On Course Team Data Management and Analysis

We use Clippd to run all of our data for our teams which includes practice data, course data, club data, radar data, practice data and journaling. It’s by far the best platform we use.

Arccos is a great option as well and syncs into Clippd. Arccos will auto detect your round and has a bunch of cool tools to help your game including an app for your watch, their own tracker, and a laser tracker.
